I was born in Afghanistan and moved to Pakistan at a young age. At seven years of age, I came to the UK with no prior education and started my learning journey at primary school. I had a considerable amount of catching up to do and had to learn English on top of that.

I went on to attend King's Leadership Academy Liverpool where I studied hard to achieve an A*, four As, a B and two Cs. This enabled me to go on to do 'Mathematics with Finance' at Liverpool John Moores University where I gained a first-class degree.  In 2021 I started training with School Direct at the Great Schools Trust to become a Maths teacher and found myself back in my former school, King's Liverpool - this time standing at the front of the class!  I completed my training and am now a teacher for the Trust.

My mum was prevented from going to school by society. This has driven my passion to provide education to all children, no matter their background or starting point.  Great Schools Trust supports deprived communities and ensures they receive the same outstanding education that is offered in the independent sector.  The opportunities provided to children to develop confidence and leadership skills are invaluable.  The ethos and ASPIRE values of the Trust have shaped my attitudes and determination to succeed.  At a King's Leadership Academy, every minute is an opportunity to push to be the best.  I feel privileged to be giving back to the community where I grew up and educating children so that they can achieve their aspirations.
