Stephen Hughes

My qualifications are in accountancy and project management. I am fortunate enough to have been able to apply my skills and experience to the world of education since 2006, which is when I joined one of the very early ‘transformational academies’ as Director of Finance and Operations.

I have an unshakeable belief that education can transform lives, but what is special about The Great Schools Trust is its emphasis on Character and Leadership. Throughout our lives, we will be judged by our qualifications and education a handful of times, whereas we will be judged everyday by many people on our character and the values we operate to. It's this extra focus for the students that makes working at The Great Schools Trust an honour and a privilege.
