Lynn Bate

I had the honour of joining The Great Schools Trust as Management Accountant in October 2023 and my qualifications are in accountancy and payroll.

I have accumulated over 30 years of experience in finance, working in the service and construction sectors. Having most recently worked as Senior Finance Manager for the Ombudsman Service, more commonly known as the Energy and Communications Ombudsman. Prior to that I worked for over 15 years as Finance Manager at Balfour Beatty in the mechanical and electrical installation division.

My ambition for the role is to support the trust through growth and change by providing accurate financial information on costs and budgets upon which future strategic decisions can be based. I am excited to be working in the education sector and look forward to contributing to making a difference to pupils’ lives.
