Director of People

Director of People Lee Rogers initially started out as a primary school teacher before moving into a career in telecoms. His first role in this field was in leadership, followed by liaising with corporate clients as a Service Delivery Manager. His next role was as a Talent Programme Manager, focusing on early careers and development, and the fourth as a Performance coach, improving the effectiveness of the People Function and the teams within them.

Lee’s role as Director of People includes accountability for the People Strategy, as part of the wider Trust Development Plan. This encompasses anything from recruitment, onboarding new colleagues, development of staff and career progression pathways. Lee genuinely enjoys the variety of his role, saying: “No two days are ever the same, which is great. My role sees me liaise with a wide range of people on a broad range of topics and I would have it no other way.”

Lee has enjoys applying his industry knowledge and is committed to developing the trust and having a positive impact. Lee stated: “I am thrilled to have joined the trust. I am excited to grow the trust and its mission. To help staff to continue to make an incredible difference in the children's lives and enable them to become successful citizens of tomorrow in their chosen next steps.”

Outside of work, Lee is very family-orientated and loves spending time with his wife Mand and daughter Ella, describing them as “simply my world.”
