Nicola Burrows

National Behaviour Hub Manager

I have always been an avid Historian, my passion for this fascinating subject led me to an BA Honours Degree in History and American Studies at Keele University, followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. After just two years teaching, I was promoted to the role of Pupil Progress Manager and later Head of Learning. Within these roles I monitored both the academic and behavioural progress of the students, forging strong relationships with parents and pupils alike. During this time I gained a diploma in ‘Developing Leaders’ with the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, learning more about leading whole school initiatives to enhance pupils’ learning experiences.

I feel extremely lucky to have been involved in developing King's from the beginning. It is fascinating working alongside a fantastic team of forward thinking teachers whilst developing my skills as an educator and leader. I am passionate about our Character programme, and believe wholeheartedly in the value of our ASPIRE code. I am proud of how King's develops the whole child and am focused on helping our young people develop the personal skills required in today's world.

I love sport, particularly Rugby League and Warrington Wolves. I am a qualified FA coach and enjoy coaching others. I also enjoy learning and have studied Sports Therapy at evening school. I believe strongly in community links. I am a Warringtonian and am passionate about the ethos of King’s and all it represents to the community of Woolston. I encourage my own children to believe in themselves and in everything they do, something I try to constantly promote in our students too.
