I am a new addition to the King’s Adventure team, and I’m really looking forward to supporting students with their personal development during their time at school. As a previous student of King’s Leadership Academy Warrington and a former member of the Combined Cadet Force, I know first-hand how beneficial outdoor education can be.
After leaving school I headed to college to study A-Levels in PE, English Language and Psychology. I then gained employment in an Alternative Provision Academy, and quickly realised I particularly enjoyed delivering outdoor learning and helping students achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
I decided to apply for the position of King’s Adventure Leader as I felt it was the perfect fit for me. I wanted to help the students achieve their potential and develop a range of key skills, just like I did during my time at King’s Warrington. Whilst in the Combined Cadet Force, I was pushed out of my comfort zone and was able to enjoy some incredible experiences, such as flying a light aircraft. I am keen to help students develop their confidence and benefit from these fantastic opportunities.
So far in my role, I have been planning some exciting trips and visits to North Wales and the Lake District. I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the role and making a real contribution to young people’s lives.
