This year’s event saw 240 enthusiastic students from King’s Leadership Academy Bolton, King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes, King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool, and King’s Leadership Academy Warrington compete in a series of challenging events, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.

The air was filled with excitement as students prepared to showcase their skills in across both track and field events, including: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and relay races; and shot, discus, javelin, high jump, long jump, and triple jump. Each school brought their best athletes, and the competition was fierce but friendly.

The boys’ competition was dominated by the athletes from King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool, who demonstrated exceptional prowess across all events. Their performances in the field events, particularly the shot and discus, were standout moments, earning them the top spot in the boys' division.

On the girls’ side, King’s Leadership Academy Warrington shone brightly. Their athletes excelled in both field and track events, with remarkable performances in the high jump and 800m. Their collective effort and determination led them to be crowned the champions, just piping King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes by four points in the girls' competition.

At the end of the day, it was King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool who emerged as the overall winners, thanks to their consistent excellence across both boys' and girls' events. Their victory was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and team spirit.

While the competition was intense, the day was also a celebration of participation and personal growth. Events like the Cross Trust Athletics Day are not just about winning; they are about developing character and leadership, encouraging team spirit and building resilience. Every student who competed, whether they won or not, demonstrated courage and commitment, traits that will serve them well in all aspects of life.

Congratulations to all the participants, and a special commendation to King’s Leadership Academy Liverpool and King’s Leadership Academy Warrington for their outstanding performances. Here's to many more events that inspire our students to strive for excellence, both on and off the field.
